Since Jacob and I arrived in Houston a while before Christmas, we were able to spend some great quality time with my parents before the holiday madness began. Mom/Nana saved decorating the Christmas tree just for us so that Jacob would be able to help decorate his second tree. For the most part we had fun doing it even with Jacob awake. One of our family traditions is for the baby of the house to "put" the angel on the tree. This year was Jacob's first year to get to top the tree. Another tradition is for Nana to give everyone Christmas ornaments. Jacob's loved his so much he cried when we made him put it on the tree.
We also had lots of time to play outside in the cooler weather. We raked up some leaves to give Jacob a chance to experience running through them. He loved just running back and forth in the leaves. The whole family enjoyed time playing together outside. Jake spent lots of time inside playing in Nana's cabinets and sometimes, all the way inside!
This was a great, relaxing, and fun start to our Christmas together with family. Up next, my cousin's wedding then Christmas with the Gilbert family.
