Park Days

The temperatures here in the Middle East have been fantastic but they won't last much longer.  So I have been trying to enjoy the time we have outdoors at the numerous parks in Doha.  That is one thing I can say about Doha, there is no shortage of parks!  We have been going to a playgroup on Sundays at a new park but in effort to not be the crazy Mom with a huge camera everywhere I haven't taken pictures.

Just the kids and I went one day and had a little picnic together.  It was a beautiful day.  There were lots of school kids at the park that kept Jacob entertained and Hailey and I just sat and watched.  This park has lots of green grass which is difficult to find in Doha.

We had so much fun we had Daddy go back with us on his day off.  Jacob enjoyed playing with Daddy.  I enjoyed just getting to sit and watch with Hailey.

Where's Daddy?!
He made it!

I recently met a new friend that has a boy about Jacob's age (plus 2 other kids) and lives close to us so we had a fun morning at the park and a picnic.  We were at the park a little bit before they were and Jacob gets bored so fast playing alone so I was so happy when they showed up.  Jacob and Gabe had a blast running around and playing.  Again I didn't want to be that crazy Mom that always has a camera but I did manage to get a couple pictures.

We have really enjoyed our days at the park and will continue to do so until it gets too hot.  Then its off to the pool, beach, and indoor playgrounds.

Hailey 4 months

 Hailey's Stats:
Age: 4 months
Weight: 11 lbs 1oz - still so little!
Length: 24"
Eye Color: deep blue- they are lightening up some but still very blue
Hair color: blonde- still hasn't started falling out! Crossing our fingers it won't.
Clothing:  She is in 3 month clothes and 3-6 month clothing
Eating Schedule: Every 2.5- 3 hours, except at night before bed when she cluster feeds; mostly nursing.  I think she eats about 4 oz/feeding
Sleeping: She wakes up around 8 am and takes some cat naps in the morning.  Around 2 pm she likes to take a nice long nap until about 5.  Then it just depends on how much she naps after that before bed.  She goes to bed around 10pm and then sleeps till about 4 am for a quick feed and then back down till 8.

The very end of this past month was very eventful for Hailey.  She made her Mom very excited when she let out her first giggles. Love to hear her giggle. So far Mommy is still the funniest but she did laugh at Jacob a little.  She also blows bubbles, coos, ahhs, and just generally talks.  Her toes have become very fascinating. She reaches for toys and kicks at the toys on her play-mat.  The night before her 4 month birthday she started rolling from her back to her tummy.  She has been working on this for a while and finally got it.  I left her on her play mat and went into the kitchen, when I came back out she was on her tummy!  So I put her back on her back and once again she rolled.  She even started putting rolls together where she rolled off her mat.

We did see the pediatrician already and get her shots.  She is still on the small side, in only the 10% but the pediatrician seemed to think she was still doing just fine and to just continue on with what we are doing.  But she is tall for her size!  She is in the 67% in height.

This past month we have spent lots of time at home playing with Jacob and even had some time playing at the park.  She is one happy little baby.  It has been a very fun month!
