This summer my best friend Lindsey and I both moved from Saudi to different parts of the world. This is the first time in our friendship that we have not lived close to each other and we were both very sad. So, we quickly started talking about when we would get together this summer. Lindsey and her family recently moved to Borger, TX and it just so happens that Borger is closer to Stillwater than any other stop on my vacation. So Lindsey being the wonderful person she is pilled her 3 kids in the car and drove to Stillwater to see me and Jacob. It was so fun to see the kids see each other again and for me to see Gavin, Miles, and Brooklyn again who still remembered me! Brooklyn even acted like she remembered Jake.
The first evening we just ate at home and spent the night catching up and getting kids into bed. The next morning we did our best to keep 4 kids entertained. We went to a little children's museum type place in Stillwater called the "Wondertorium". It was a great place for all the kids. They had older activities for Gavin and even Miles but they had a separate toddler area that was great for Jacob and Brooklyn. It definitely got some of their energy out. At the end we decided to try to get a picture of all 4 kids....It didn't really work out so well but at least we tried right?
Once they were played out at the Wondertorium we took all the kids back out to the farm house for nap time. When they started waking up we did a little playing around outside. Gavin informed me that his new house was bigger than mine but that my backyard was WAY bigger than his. Ha!
When everyone was awake and ready to go we headed out again for dinner at Eskimo Joe's. It felt a little crazy to be at a restaurant so outnumbered by kids but they did great and we enjoyed our dinner. As a reward we took them all out to Boomer park and let them have some time running and playing. I was too busy chasing Jake around all the playground equipment to be able to get many pictures but here is one of Jake and Brooklyn swinging.
The next morning Lindsey packed up and headed home. It was way too short but still wonderful to see her and the kids. I miss seeing them on a daily basis SO much!!! Once Lindsey was gone and I had the farmhouse cleaned up, Jacob and I headed to Wagoner.
