Christmas with the Gilbert's

We had planned to leave Wagoner on December 27 but on the night of the 26th Micah suddenly decided he didn't want to waist a day of his vacation driving.  So at 7:30pm we left Wagoner headed for Houston.  Yes, it was a little crazy but driving at night is so much easier with the less traffic and a sleepy baby.  Jake slept most of the time, he didn't even wake when we would stop.  Of course that meant that at 3:30am when we made it back he thought it was play time. Ohh well. We survived and had the whole next day to be in Houston.

My sister and her family had already arrived and my brother and his family came that afternoon.  It was so great to get to spend such an extended amount of time with both of them and my parents.  The kids had a blast playing games, playing the wii (so did I), and we even all went to a movie.  December 28 we did our family Christmas and opened presents, took tons of pictures and ate a wonderful meal.  It's so fun to have multiple Christmas's.

As I mentioned before, we all got dressed and took a ton of pictures.  Here are just a few.

We have a Christmas tradition of getting matching PJ's for the girls.  We had some fun taking our matching PJ photos.  After a couple of normal pictures I decided we should do a cheerleader picture.  Enjoy...

"All right girls, here's what were going to do"

We also like to do more of a mass chaos style Christmas gift opening.  I love watching the fun and taking in the joyful chaos.  After it's all over it's fun to sit and look at the mess.
We had a very blessed Christmas!
